Hi all! My name is Vanessa and I am a first time chicken and duck keeper. We have 6 Brahmas and 2 Welsh Harlequin ducks, all 7 weeks old. It has been such fun for our 3 little kiddos to have a part in caring for these fowl friends, and my husband has loved the excuse to indulge in a woodworking masterpiece building a coop and turning our side yard into a chicken run. It has been comforting to have such a rewarding endeavor to work on during uncertain and strange times as we social distance.

I am excited to be a part of this community. I keep coming back to this forum each time I have a question, it only made sense to join!
