So Grossed Out!!!!

It did take me a day or two to eat our chicken eggs, too. DH had no problem!
I loved sunny side up as a kid. Dunked my toast right in! Somehow as an adult I could only eat a fried egg with the yokes broken and cooked through.
I am glad to see I am not alone! LOL

I put ketchup and/or hot sauce on my scrambled eggs, or preferably salsa if available.

My only other food oddity is I can't eat a peach without peeling it first. I can barely touch a peach without getting the heebie geebies. I usually use gloves. Or just eat nectarines. Fuzzy raspberries are kind of creepy too.

It's probably a texture thing, people tend not to want to eat greasy slimy things

Well-- unless you're a chicken!

For me it is definitely a texture thing, and I can tell you exactly where it came from.

When I was probably 7 or 8 years old...my mom had a sore throat and was going to swallow a teaspoon of honey out of one of those honey bear bottles to soothe it.

She wasn't paying attention and JUST as she was about to put the spoon in her mouth she looked down and there was a cockroach, dead, in the honey!

Now, we are clean people...and that was one of those squeeze bottle honey bears and the lid on the bottle was never left open (yes, we're a tad ocd...haha)...so all we can figure is that maybe there was a slip at the factory and one got in and died.

But, from then on out...if I eat anything...if there's a texture in there that shouldn't be...I'm hurling and spitting...and I also can't do "wet" type of textures that have lumps (like tapioca pudding) for the same reason.

I don't like scrambled eggs, they are gross. I am from the south (TN) and I can't stand grits. I can't eat grits, but I can eat cream of wheat. I also can't stand raw eggs. I had an uncle that would drink two raw eggs a day. I would just gag to no end, I even tried it. That was a mistake. I do like eggs over easy, poached, hard boiled, fried hard. Anyway that's me.

I love my chickens, but can't stand to eat any egg! I literally tell my hubby and kids if they want eggs they have to wait till about 11 am because my stomach can't stand the smell early in the morning. They usually will go with pancakes.

I am glad I am not the only one! I guess we all have our likes & dis-likes! Funny huh?

I am still thinking about the other day when I made those scrambled eggs with cheese mixed in & I could just gag thinking about it!

I usually use the shredded cheddar cheese but this time I was lazy & used the American sliced cheese. That was BIG mistake!
