So I am grossed out by my eggs.

I had the same feelings for a while too. I think it’s the reality of where food comes from. When you buy things at the store there is a huge disconnect from the source. Everything is clean looking and in packages. You have no reason to think about where it comes from. Be gentle with yourself, you’ll get used to it with time!

I completely understand, too. I think it's because we're so conditioned to buying food, that when we raise it, it seems weird and somehow "wrong." I bet the first people to buy all their food, originally thought that was weird, too! You'll get over it. I did!

Oh, I hadn't thought about this. I cant really pinpoint my issue other than its weird to go grab an egg from the laying boxes and pop it in a pan lol This really sums it up for me and I think pinpoints my problem.

This is not uncommon. It happened for me for about a week. Sincerely, work your way up to it. Start with baking with them, then move into flavorful dishes where eggs are part of it but not really the main flavor. Then you can gently ease your way into straight eggs. And every time, stop and consciously remind yourself like an affirmation, something like; "These eggs are safe and normal. They are just like every other egg. Eggs are delicious and good to eat. These eggs are also good to eat."

Take your time and ease in. It's OK.

I am the exact same way and googled looking for answers! I have NO idea what the issue is. It's exactly what you're saying. I bake with them no problem. Feed them to my kids no problem. Sit down and enjoy a scramble myself? Nope. We don't even have a rooster. We do have a male duck (and female ducks) but we gather the eggs everyday. So there is literally no way we'd open one up to a surprise. I don't get it. If you figure it out, let me know!
