SO I candled the duck eggs last night.....????

One smells funky, but I cant figure out which one it is. It was day 5 yesterday... by day 5 with a duck are you supposed to see anything? Cause there was no veining in any of them.... I am worried now that I forced her to set and nothing is happening!

You should be able to see veining by now on a duck egg

Isnt there a white circle on the egg if it is fertile? I cracked a few before I let her get a pile and they had white circles on the yolk...

It says this is fertile....maybe they werent tho...ugh I will be mad if I wasted 19 eggs!!!!

I don't have a computer I use a blackberry so that is a small picture to me and I can't see a bulls eye again I have a hard time seeing the picture

It should have been a small circle with a circle around it

dang, I am going to bet that Sax isnt doing his job.... but I am not giving up, will wait a few more days, maybe check on Monday at day 8 and see if theres a noticeable difference! Thanks!

Thanks, if nothing else duck meat is my favorite...

Not that I could ACTUALLY eat one of my duckies, but I sure to threaten the stewpot a lot when he wont leave Meade alone to set those eggs!

LOL when we were kids we would sit out on the fence and chant "stew pot stew pot" because we thought it would make the hens lay better.... yeah we were easily amused children I know....
