for the cost it was cheaper to get 10 from there than 5 form MPC...

so we have comming
all pullets:
2 barred rock, 2 black australorps, 2 columbian rock x, 2 Buff Orphington and 2 Speckled Sussex.

plus 1 free of their choice will be thrown in...so 1 random...

so we'll be rehoming 1 of each breed plus the extra, but we'll probably wait untill they grow up a tad...ya know, just in case of roos lol, there supposed to be all pullets, but things can happen lol.

im SOOOO excited.
weve been planning this for 2 years, were supposed to get them last year and it got put off...
so last night dad said a definate yes...and this morning mum said "order them" (because she knows untill there here dads going to drag his feet in terms of making the coop, once there here though hell want them out of the house asap and the coop will be up and done in a weekend knowing my dad lol

so far weve got the names Veronica (or ronnie) (after my mums mum who always wanted chickens and passed last year), Henrietta and Gertrude. mum wants "old fashioned" names for them, so we need two more lol

I went on line Saturday and ordered welsummer pullets for Estes Hatchery then this morning called them to increase the order. Later to day a friend ask if it was too late to get in on my order, so this evening I was back on the phone increasing the order yet again. I now have over 80 arriving on the 30th. I bet the postman will think I must like chickens.

My oldest hens are called Mildred (Millie) and Maud. Those are old names too.

I have a Henrietta & a Hester Sue. Your going to be in love when the babies get there, especially having planed them so long. I bet your dad's going to build a great coop. Keep us posted.
