From the new rheumatologist I'll be seeing in October. It has 12 pages - twelve! - of medical questions for me to fill out.

With that much information she should be able to diagnose me just from reading the paperwork right?

And gee, just one page asking about my insurance information. Isn't it usually the other way around?

I absolutely hate going to a new doctor and having to fill out forms. I made up a history in Word format and when I go I print it out and take it. I had one nurse tell me I had to fill out thier form, not just staple mine. So I smiled nicely, asked for my insurance card back, and turned around to walk out. She changed her mind.

First time I went to the Rheumatologist, I had the same thing mailed to me.

I called and said that if my fingers were pain free enough to fill all that out, I wouldn't need to come see you.

The receptionist said, "That's why we sent it to you a couple of weeks ahead of time".

Good comeback on her part.
This one has the this little itty bitty human body you are suppose to color in the areas that hurt on. I just got out my red marker and colored the whole dang thing in.
ETA: I haven't been back to see a rheumatologist in 13 years. Now I remember why.

HAHAHA! I drew long hair and glasses on the body pic.

I thought it was a great comeback too. I bet she hears that particular whine alot.

I generally only go to the doctor if I need a prescription for something, or need xrays. The last time I went in the doctor asked me when I had last had a physical. I told him "1986 - the Army." He told me I was crazy to not be seeing a doctor. I replied that I heard that all their patients eventually die, so it's not like they have that great a track record.

There's a reason they call it "practicing medicine" ... most of them don't have it down yet, so they practice.
