so.... i had a surprise this morning when i went out

i have a routine each morning of checking on everyone and making sure everyone is ok and has what they need. and i couldnt believe what i found in the quail pen! one of my young quails finally matured enough to lay a egg! its the first for me! im so excited about it! its a little speckled thing lol. has a nice shape to it. now im wonderin if its fertile. *thinks to self "hmm should i put it in the bator or not?"

how thrilling! I am anxiously awaiting eggs from 24 wk pullets... I keep saying, anyday now, but still nothing! congrats to you! esp if you were not expecting anything!!!! how fun! can't wait to see pics

I put my first 3 eggs in the bator. I was even more surprised when they all hatched!!!!

yea i cant wait till they hatch! most of mine are due around thanksgiving. some will be soon after that.
