Can't hurt to try I guess. There are also pads that hold a lot of fluid, maybe you could use that too, they have sticky backs. OMG DH is going to see this and wonder what in the world I'm talking about

lol....i'm seroiusly going to try it. i don't know what else to do because cut up sponges will dry up too fast and i don't want to open the incubator to keep them wet.

Well...it might work. I tried using sanitary pads instead of sponges because of course they are so clean, and they just absorbed and absorbed and absorbed TONS of water, but something about the way they are made, I guess, it would not evaporate back into the air, and I went back to wash cloths and sponges, which did work.

So if tampons are the same and are made so they do not evaporate then they will not work.

What about a ShamWOW towel? I don't have one, but if they hold as much liquid as the commercial says they do, strips should hold a good bit of water.... ? The tampon idea is great.
