So I worked on the run all weekend....this is the progress so far...

It was a lot of work for one weekend, but so worth it. The babies are in the shed now, (can't believe that they are 5 weeks already!) so hopefully by next weekend, the run will be ready for them.

Here are a couple of my morons....silly Turken (Giselle) and Henny Penny, who follows me around because she knows I will give her worms. Anyone have any idea what kind she is?

Here they are loving their new jungle gym.

It's been a lot of work, but well worth it. There is hardware cloth on the front, and fencing on the back with chicken wire above it. There is heavy duty netting doubled up across the top. Stretched tight. So tight I could probably walk across it without a problem. There is chicken wire buried all around the whole perimeter. So hopefully it's pretty predator proof. They are going to love it. I like the border around the run too. I just built on to mine and I'm doing the same thing around it with flowers. You have a nice big setup! perfect for that amount of chickens. And yes. I thought we needed a bunch of boxes too. They only use 2 of them.
