Just for the sake of clarity, they are BANTAM silkie X frizzled cochin X Dragon to they will not get to the full 140 feet. That she hatched a PAIR of these birds (boy and girl) so now she can successfully breed more bantam silkie, cochin dragons.

Mom is barred and dad isn't so they are sex-linked

I can't see them well enough to see if one has the white spot of a black sex link, but to me it looks like two pullets. I believe the silkie feathering is recessive, so unless it is on both sides, the silkie feathered part won't show, but the body conformation just might. If you can cross this with something that has Silkie, Turken, and maybe Polish in it, you could have something really set for Halloween next year. No costume needed.

What do you think about that one in the last photo? Is it looking sad or maybe serious, or maybe still in shock from what it has already seen in its young life. To me, it looks like it has an attitude.

I'd trust Pbjmaker on that. Glad you got at least one pullet. At least I hope you still have the SF.

I had not kept up on which ones you lost to predators, though I knew you had some problems. It has been a rough last few months for me too, with the dogs dropped off in the country by an irresponsible pet owner, what I am pretty sure is a fox, and what I think is my first ever hawk attack. When it hits, it hits hard. Mine are now confined to the run until I can get a handle on that fox. I was managing until those dogs hit, but I also had to restock certain breeds.

The black ones are Black Australorp. The red ones, Speckled Sussex. Those are for what little is left of my breeding/laying flock. The yellow ones are red sex link roosters. I still need some for the freezer. I really don't like having to raise them over the winter, but I needed some packing peanuts to keep the others warm during shipping and figured the red sex link roosters were doomed anyway.
