So I looked in the quail cage and

Oh ya. Their cage is in the barn so they couldn't get out. There were quail in
every corner. I think they enjoyed themselves.

Did Sandy help ya get 'em? One of our quail got out when I was feeding the meaties, Aussie caught it and brought it back.

Sandy would catch the quail but it would be in her tummy quick. The quail send her
into doggy convulsions.

How small does the wire have to be to keep in quail?

Will regularl chicken wire work, or do I have to use smaller??

NO I DO NOT NEED QUAIL, just checking, almost got Cortinex?(-1sp) at auction, but I resisted.

Coturnix, once full grown, can be in a cage sided with 1" chicken wire... 1/2" hardware cloth on the floor.

That was the only thing I resisted, came home wtih 50+chicks, 6 turkeys, 2 rabbits, 8 guinea pigs, and 2 parakeets. Resisting is not one of my strong suits, I did resist the peachicks, and pheasants too.

Very cool! Are you going to be able to bring me any on Sunday? Just want to know so I'll have something to keep them in. I have a large dog crate they can live in in the house until we get an outdoor set up built. Not pushing, just want to be prepared!

Sam, I wish I was closer... I'd take all your quail in a heartbeat.

That must have been a hard decision to make.

Yeah I'll have some on Sunday. They don't need a lot of room. A dog crate will do just
fine.
