So I mixed up a little mash for my girls..

They're okay with it, not going nuts
Maybe I just need to add more flavour
All I put in mine was a bit of bread,two circle unflavoured (well,they're salted) crackers,a hand full of cracked corn,a hand full of BOSS and a good sprinkling of oats,then I added some hot water and stirred it up till it was mashy and put a few celery leaves over it,all they wanted was the celery leaves! Well they did take a few mouthfuls of the mashy stuff,maybe they're just trying to figure it out

I add plain yogurt and fruit to mine. During the hot days, I just use yogurt and fruit and freeze it into chicken treat pops...they love it Mine go nuts if I mix it with applesauce!

I'm sooo excited for summer, I want to make them frozen treats!

Believe me, they will love you for it...they can 'sip' at them for hours and when they find the hidden chunks of fruit, they go crazy

Here, I am thinking fondly of winter. Its probably just the newness factor for them not diving in. Most chickens love the moistened feed.

I guess they're just a bit wary of it, but they'll grow to love it
