My coop is safe as far as I know, but I feel better knowing that nothing seems to be lurking.

That's great! But, you should leave the trap set for several days, at least.

What did you use for bait?

I use marshmallows for raccoons and possums.
For skunks I use eggs.

Keep it there for a week anyway. Who knows, you might get lucky and catch a skunk!

Oh I set it randomly for several days at a time. It's set again tonight.
I use cat food mainly as bait so usually I at least scare a neighborhood cat. Guess they're getting savvy.


I was talking about skunks with DH yesterday --- hoping not to trap one. They freguently get run over in the road not far from here. It's like skunk crossing down near the railroad & new bridge. Possibly it's due to the construction in the area, but there's a fresh skunk on the road every couple of days!! Keeps our cars smelling so sweetly!!!
