Remington 870 express 20 gauge youth.
I am rather short (5 foot) and I could not handle anything bigger than a youth stock.
A few years ago I bought a Special Purpose 12 gauge with the cantilever barrel, I just can not physically hold it down when I shoot it. So I got my youth gun and I LOVE it!

I got a 20 guage last year, but it was not a remington. Nice gun ya got there

Oh goodness, thank you! I sure do love it.

Out west we usually use rifles.

Out here we can't use rifles. Too bad too. I would if I could!

Would you send me the antlers if you don't use/keep them? I would LOVE that!!! Looks like some nice deer you have there. Congrats!

I actually had him mounted. He scored over 100. And my husband said if I got one that scored 100 or more I could have him mounted.

Well, when you do decide to go back out good luck to you!

Yeah after having my youth gun I pick up my 12 gauge and it feels like a cannon! I am sure I could never take it hunting again. Not so long as I have "Pearl" (thats the name of my 20 gauge).

Harley's girl :

I am so happy! I will be going back out on Saturday to get my buck! Here are the pics of this years kill.

I got her first morning. She is tiny but tender!

I got her on Saturday. My DD was not impressed with the deer.

And I have to show off my buck from last year! I am hoping to get one that will make him look tiny!

I have never shot a big doe. Only the little ones because they are:
1. Tender
2. Not pregnant
3. Big Doe vs. little doe will most likely survive the winter
4. Easy to drag

I have gone hunting every night since last week and have only seen doe. (I filled my doe tag in the youth season) I have two stands, I hunt in one and my mother in the other. My mom will see bucks EVERY time, but they don't have three points on one side. Hopefully I'll get a buck sometimer this week.

Forgot to mention, congrats on the does, and that buck is a trophy!

Nice deer! I always process our kills myself. It's easy and cheep, plus you get all the meat you want! lol I don't like fat or bone in my deer. It makes it way too gamey.

Yeah I guess I never thought about that! They smaller one sure was easy to drag! LOL And sadly last year the doe that my DH got was very pregnant! The twin fawns were very developed. He said she must have been breed very early to be that far along! We took pics of the fawns (if you want to see just let me know). I was sad but a very neat thing to show our daughters. This year so far neither if mine were and neither was the DH's
