So I take their food away tonight?

Hi doc7! Do you happen to have a picture of the feeder you use for your adult chickens with the pvc elbows?
Yes I posted it earlier in thread - there are also two elbows in the opposite side. With two of these and 6 laying hens I fill with a Flock Raiser about once per month.

Here's a link for the no waste feeder thread. I use L brackets to hold the elbows in place instead of silicon. You can use whatever container works for you.

This is the inside of one of my feeders with the L brackets. I use 3 inch elbows for the big girls and 2 inch elbows for my chicks.

I only siliconed in the little tiny guys on the coffee can. On the cat litter boxes I just bought a set of hole saws at Harbor Freight (10% cost of the ones at Lowe’s/HD) and made it a tight fit for the elbows. In 3 years they’ve never come loose or any other types of issue.

Sunday I started the chicks with the nipples that have the cups, they took to those very fast but didn’t seem to catch onto the horizontal nipples we put in their run. Then today when I let them out my husband saw them all having a drink at the horizontal nipples in the run before he went to work. I guess they trained themselves to it because I was going to work on that today!
I wonder if the red color attracted them to it andmade them know what it was for? Smart chickies!
