My husband and I are planning to buy a house this I summer and I have talked him into letting me have some chickens. I have been reading and watching youtube chicken videos ...visited the local feed store and cooed over the 2 day old chickie babies and have been contemplating the best coop design....etc.

Get plans for a coop appropriate for where you live.

Study the breeds.

Decide what you want and why and then ENJOY...

... and be ready for "Chicken Math"... you'll always want MORE CHICKENS!!
