So I went to look at chicks today.......

that I'd found on Craigslist. I told myself I was only getting 3. I said self you're only getting 3!! I came home with 7. No surprise right???!!! LOL! Oi! These are my first chicks. I'm so nervous! I hope I don't kill them, they seem so fragile.

They are four weeks old. I got 5 EE and 2 RIR. I went because I wanted to add more color to my flock because everyone is a shade of red, but those little RIR red fluff balls were so cute!! I couldn't decide on them and kept comparing them to see what ones I wanted and the man kept telling me just put it in the box. I got all 7 for $18. Plus I got a white EE with a beard just like I wanted. We'll see how I go. Wish me luck!!

When I went to the feed store today (for feed)... I just couldn't resist seeing what they had available... I came very close to buying a Light Brahma.... Then I remembered... "You've got 37 W/BW at home in the brooder. Walk away from the chicks"....

LOL, A few weeks ago I went to the feed store for coop building supplies and decided I wanted a polish chick, but I only had older chicks at home, so I had to buy 2 to be buddies, but that only left 1 polish left with all the others, so the store owner said I could have the last one to keep with it's sisters, so I came home with 3 chicks and no coop building supplies because I forgot what I originally went there for

I have chicks coming from ideal poultry tomorrow... so I just HAD to go to the feed store and get more to go with the ones I'm getting. (totally makes sense to me)
