I am not a fan of Ebay, closed my Paypal account due to multiple hacks and PP not being in any hurry to do anything. I am about to do a MASSIVE Fabric and Craft Clean out. Where would you post items if not on Ebay? Craigslist? Etsy?

I wish someone had an Ebay type sight for Fabric and Crafts only........

I have sold some things on craigslist. I am also not a huge fan of Ebay but I think the results on Ebay were better for me.

Etsy.com All and made and vintage items. You only pay a listing price. Not a portion of your sales. And they offer ways to promote your items with in the site. You can also set up a Facebook page to support your Etsy store and link them together. You might need PayPal though, but I'm not sure. I use it and have never had any problems through Etsy

I know a lot of people who shop a lot on etsy, I have never bought or sold on etsy personally I find it a bit overwhelming.

I also do not know if I am odd or not, but I doubt I would ever buy fabric online. I like to touch my fabric before I buy it, I purchase as much on feel as I do looks.

You might put an ad in the local paper in the yard sale section specifying that it's all craft stuff, I'll bet people would go crazy. Craft people are very typically yard sale people too, so they may be checking the paper hoping to find good craft stuff.

Can I list fabric on Etsy? I thought it was only for Hand Made stuff.

I agree- craigslist is a good place to try, you can post pics and list the type of fabrics.

You could look into whether your city ever hosts any rummage sales or quilting shows and try to get a booth. Or maybe a local farmers market where you could do a one time sale?

Maybe if you have enough stuff, you could host a garage sale? Or be a part of someone elses sale.

Or look up other people who sell homemade crafts and tell them what you have to offer- maybe they will even do a trade of sorts, your raw materials for a few of their finished products?

Maybe a re-sale shop for kids clothes or some other kind of consignment type shop would take the stuff on consignment.

You could google some first-time mom sites and list the materials and possible things that can be made from them- alot of stay at home moms like to do crafts (as do grandparents) and they may have the time and desire to take on some new projects for the little ones. (bibs, burp clothes, diaper covers, dresses, etc)

You could list some of it in the Buy, Sell, Trade section here. No listing price so if it doesn't sell you aren't out anything.

I plan on doing that too, but honestly I have never sold anything I have listed in the "everything else" BST.
