...for a school project. I'm going to be asking a bunch of people questions about chickens and seeing their responses. I'm going to be talking to people who don't really have any association with chickens, so the questions can't be too specific. These are questions I have so far:

How many days does a hen sit on her eggs before they hatch?
How do chicks hatch out of their eggs?
How warm do the eggs need to be?
    Why do roosters crow?
    When do roosters crow?
What are the sharp things on a rooster's legs?
    How old do chickens live?
What type of building does a chicken live in?
How many different types of chickens are there?

Does anyone have any other good questions I could ask? The project is due on the 18th of October, so I need to start filming sometime this week.

Do you need a rooster to have eggs ?
  4. hens set on eggs rather than sit.

How often does a hen lay an egg?
What age does a hen begin laying eggs?

Be prepared with answers and often it will vary according to breed or type of chicken! Interesting project.

This one gets em every time...

If a rooster is sitting on top of a peaked roof, and lays an egg....which way will the egg roll????

    Roosters DONT LAY EGGS! [IMG]

You will be surprised how many people will answer this with...
depends on how the wind is blowing...
depends on if its summer or winter...morning or evening..

I'd keep the questions simple. Most people wouldn't be expected to know how warm an egg needs to be to hatch, but many won't even know the simplest of questions, making the anwers all the more hilarious...

    What color is a chicken?
    Where are a rooster's spurs?
How many eggs a day does a chicken lay?
    What color are chicken eggs?
How many combs does a chicken have?
How many chicks hatch from an egg?
Why don't eggs hatch in your refrigerator?
    How high can chickens fly?
    What do chickens eat?
If a rooster lays an egg every day for a week how many eggs would you have?
