My frist batch of quail are now three and a half weeks old. I guess they are feeling like big boys and girls now and they are getting fractious.
I am so amused, by the way they get their "hackles up" when agitated, that I can't help teasing them from time to time.
I waggle my finger at them and they go all (what i call) Hedge hog on me. The way their feathers are marked it looks like quills. Freakin' hilarious.
Well, today one of the males decided to have a go at me and leapt at me. I had the door open and he veered, very bravely, at the last second and wound up on the ground. He looked up at me, blinking, with his stupid little bird face as if to say "I soory, Please put me back with my girls."
So I did.
