Okay. This is getting very frustrating.

My girls are laying eggs that have so many blood spots! Getting one that has none is VERY rare. Is there something wrong with them? Could it be because of my rooster?

Also, a lot of them are marbled - like a chocolate/vanilla marble cake. That kind of look, with orange and yellow. Is that an indicator of something?

Do I need to supplement something in their diet? They're free range except in winter.

TIA for any help!

How often do you collect eggs?

Are you using artificial light? (this seems to cause 'meat spots/ blood spots' in some breeds)

what are you feeding?

How old?

who long have then been laying?

Wish I knew the answer.

I've had my girls lay some like that as well, but not all the time. I'm sure someone will come along with some good advice for you.

I've had a red heat lamp for the really cold nights (since my roo got frostbite). For a while all my girls were laying every day - even my oldest. So I turned off the light for a while and the production went down.

Layena layer pellets

How old?

1 6-yo, 3 4-yo, 3 3-yo, and 3 10-month olds

For the 10-month olds... about 5-6 months now.

If breeds might help, I've got an Australorp, a Barred Rock, a NHR, a SLW, 3 Black Sexlinks, 2 Delawares, and a Golden Nugget (S&G Poultry breed). (My roo's a Dellie too.)

The older ones might be giving you spots, the 10 month olds should be done.

Not sure witch breeds give more meat spots with lights on, but some do-
