I have 2 female Cayugas and 2 males. Both of my girls decided to share a nest, it is huge, and they have been doing a god job of staying on it. Unfortunately, they started to lay mid Feb. We took out some, and today as I was checking the nesting box and cleaning their pen, I found quite a few more they had hid. Using a flashlight I checked the eggs, some of them where very cold and they looked like they were "solid" on the inside. I cracked a couple of the cold ones and their were red veins inside with the yolk. Where they viable eggs? I left the girls eight eggs total and as I was checking them, I can see a dark spot that moves around when I turn the egg, its not solid. I have never really seen veining in them, but the cold ones had it. Should I leave them alone and see what gives or just remove all of the eggs.
