I believe they are about 3 months old now? I'm not really sure... I didnt know what they were to begin with, but afterwards, I THOUGHT maybe I could eat them, now Its like no way....They are pets.

Whoa. Now those are some big chickens! Have you weighed them?

And not eating them because they have names....that would be something I'd do.

I havent weighed them, I'm afraid that will make DH and the rest of my family want them for dinner even more...

Everybody at work has been putting up with seeing photos of my chickens on my cell phone. (It takes really good pictures, for a cell phone camera!) Anyway, a couple of folks have visited and both have blurted, "Wow, they're BIG!"

Carl the rooster is pretty tall and Buffy is the largest pullet in the flock. The two Lakenvelder sisters are the oldest but the smallest of the grown up flock. They're, well, what I consider to be 'chicken sized' birds.

I can hardly wait for the bantam cochins to reach their full size, and then, later, the Sebrights. I wanna see how much smaller they are than the large fowl. I mean, in MY run.

But I'd sure like to see more photos of other folks' bantams and standards together!

----Those Godzilla Chickens are impressive! Glad they're named. ;-)
