I had a couple BO's that sat in their nest boxes all day yesterday, didn't come out when I let the other chicks out of the yard to free range in the evening, and were still there when I closed up the coop for the night. I thought they might be going broody, but this morning they weren't there and the eggs were very cold. I went ahead and took the eggs up. Was that behavior indicative of "going broody"? If I had left the eggs there would they have eventually tried to hatch some? These ladies are 8mo old.
