Jerseys are brown, Holsteins are black and white.

Both are good milkers, but Jerseys are smaller and have a higher fat content/richer milk. Congratulations! Where are the pictures?

Cows are great. But take it from one who knows; " Find a relief milker or plan on not taking weekends off or vacations" Dairy animals don't take days off and if they do CALL THE VET!

BTW: Until they have calved twice they are Heifers.
