[rant] I'm not one for the House Rabbit Society, honestly. Ending up not adopting from them because they demanded that you allow them to periodically inspect your house (umm...no?). When I later asked them for medical advice on dealing with a rabbit who had an abscess behind his eye, instead of offering knowledge about this issue, they chose to lecture about how one should never buy a rabbit and only adopt from them. Never even addressed the abscess in their email! A vet I used that was recommended on their site as the only rabbit savvy vet in our area charged us hundreds of dollars for an eye-removal surgery that was never performed (their reasoning was that they shaved him while he was under...so that counts, right?), and tried to sell us special 'house rabbit society' food to prevent wool block in our angora...though you only need to feed papaya to prevent that. Ugh. Poor rabbit ended up having to be euthanized because he was too far gone after all that. So yes, I don't mean to sound like I'm trashing your suggestion Cambium, but I can say that a lecture is what gale doesn't want, and is what she will get in my personal experience. I was...less that thrilled in my limited dealings with them. That said, their website may have some useful tips, I just personally would not deal with them directly. [/rant]
Gale, have you tried a J feeder for them and a hay rack? That should help with the lost food, especially if using a smaller feeder that they can't easily dig in.
