I have to relocate my bantom rooster, with him his 3 girls as they would miss him too much. Some stupid neighbor phoned and said that he makes too much noise. Wow he gets kept in the main house until 10 then he goes out but rarely crows. I an sacrificing him so that byc owners in town can fight the legal fight. So sad I want to cry, I'll still have 6 large chickens though
I have rehomed quite a few roosters. Often I have to offer a pair of birds in order to make the deal. In your shoes, I would only offer up one hen to rehome one rooster. I do not believe that his girls will "miss him too much." If you want to keep your hens and can arrange to do so, I would encourage it.
