and for the hen

I got a pied indigo blue hen 10 1/2 months old

so breeding them.. what could I get?? just the indigo blues.. right

Does anyone have a photo of the difference in a white eyed indigo blue peacock, compared to just the blue indigo peacock.. for comparison how they look???????????????????????????????????????

You mean India blue? I would like to know what you can get from breeding a white eye and a pied...I am not sure. Deerman probably knows.

breeding them together you will get a mix of pied, white eye, and dark pied chicks.
The peahen as an adult will look the same. As an adult your male will look like a india blue or dark pied india blue, (a little white on throat and on flight feathers) but he will have some white in the eye feathers in his train. I dont have an adult blue white eye male I can show you a photo of, but here is my cameo white eye male... so you can see how the white apears in the train.

Lol,and to think I thought that was them..I sent the photo to everyone I know..and we all ace been studying every marking on them..ehhehe

I did want to ask u, does the blue on male as he ages..get more aqua blue..or stays that dark blue?

I ask this because..all the other india blues..look more aqua like blue..?

So I can only assume the color is still changing?

Also..I love those that u shared the photo of.. And the markings on this hen that I thought was mine..lol,
Has a ton of white and brown..so I fell in love with her, and now that might not be mine ? Huh?
So your other one must be duplicated the same, with the same even markings of that white splash?
Lol

Thanks

well, yes as far at the photos go, these two are yours. I didnt mean to confuse you.... but they are really all identical.

The color on peafowl is iridescent. It looks different every time you look at it, depending on angle, lighting, weather .....
I could take another photo of them tomorrow and the color on the same bird will look different. (you know, kinda like those ugly blue eggs I have

Oh..John my friend will come pick them up where we talked about meeting.. On wedensday... if it rains..if it rains he doesn't have to work..so I will give him your number on tuesday to call u and arrange a time etc..

Your last bluest egg ever in my bator is hatching at this very moment..that's 8/9 of the bluest amerecauna eggs I have ever seen..will have hatched..and looks like this last egg Kat was placed in my bator..7 days after the others..and is hatching..whoot whoot..

Okay it's at least pipped..hehehe

Okay back to your peafowl..

Do they thou change colors more as they age?

I understand they will look different in different lighting etc..but does the India blue white eye..also get that gorgeous green train to it..as the regular India blue gets?

Thank u again
