snort this is one of only a couple places I post anymore.
We're here for you! These are the best Prayer Warriors out there! Gods' ears are buzzing with your SIL's name. Remember Attitude is 99% of the battle! I personally know folks who were considered terminal who are still here 10 or more years later. If it's cancer, it's time for her to make cancer her B**ch!!!
HAPPY BIRTDAY DEERMAN!!!
Remain confident that it hasn't spread my friend. You've got this beat!
Don't worry guys, I'm gonna be fine! They removed the port today because the antibiotics weren't doing any good. So far no fever since it's been out. We are going to switch up chemo meds from Herceptin to Tykerb. Tykerb comes in pill for so I won't need the port. I'm not sure how many times they can keep putting these things in. My veins are bad because of steroids used for all my allergies. Can't use a "pic" line because of the pressuer in the vein. I'm allergic to the Tegaderm, and different types of tape they use to keep it in place. Mine fell out of my arm when we tried an Ace Bandage to keep it in place, lol.
I'm tired of being sick and tired!! Makes me mad that most days I'm too tired to go out and even work in my garden. I do go out every evening with the "Brat Pack" as they run and play. Do you believe it was 1 year on Sunday that we adopted Katie??!!! Lookadaface!!!!
Not to be out done, "The Nose" aka Icee. She has been "growing" so much lately. Stepping up to check out people (then she runs away, lol) Being willing to go out in the yard by herself. Starting to play with toys!! My one eyed dog and my one eyed cat (Lucy) have started playing with each other. Rolling on the floor and rubbing on each other.
Icee has become a lesson in small blessings. The little things you take for granted, she "sees" as the most wonderful gift. "Daddy" coming home from work=squeals of delight when she smells him come in the door. A "Yam-Good" treat savored with chichi dog sized bites=Katie inhales 2 to Icees 1. The bone left from dinner, laying on the floor just looking at it. Is it mine? All of it? Mine? Are you sure? Pick it up and carry it around for the next hour. It's mine! IT's Mine. MINE MINE MINE!!! Then taking the next 2 hours to savor every morsel followed by another half hour of "Happy Dancing" (rolling, rubbing, and other craziness)
She can't hear commands I give, can't see them either. Is know to run over if not into all kinds of people, other animals and things. The important thing is that despite or maybe even inspite of it all, She is happy!
