My Mom used a pressure cooker for stews & such, one time my sis & I were in the kitchen at the table drawing while dinner was being made - in the pressure cooker - well, that thing burst and the lid hit the ceiling and steam and stew flew everywhere! I think we shook for days after that........I'd rather try deerman's skydiving idea

Well, I spent all day yesterday in the emergency Med Clinic

My migraines have taken my life back over again for the most part. They are talking about trying a anti seizure medicine called topomax now but I am very frightened by the thought of that. I have had people tell me things that went terribly wrong with that medication. I don't know what to do. Neurologist is the next step. I guess we will see. I have had 7 migraines in 5 days! All in a row!

I can tell you that I HAD migraines (not related to C that I know). I went to a neurologist and he put me on an anti seizure med Depakote. I have my life back and free of disabling migraines. I have had no known problem related to the med.
I would say yes to neurologist. Also if you have not been please get checked for brain tumors. That was the source of my Dads headaches. Sadly he waited too long to seek help.

I second that! The neuro. Dr is going to have the most specified info and knowledge!!!

On another note, I have my big appt. at the cancer alliance this Friday. Looks like the weather will be dry so the drive will be safer. I have to be up there all day long! We have to leave at 8:30 and won't get home till 9:00 or later!

I know they are the best at what they do and I know who ultimately is in control! Please pray all goes well!

I am on an anti seizure med called neurontin, generic gabapentin, for ice pick head aches and migraines.
I had seven migraines in 10 days the beginning of November.
Start taking B12 slow release and sloMg (Apparently it is at Wal-Mart). The migraines use up your B12 quickly.
I was afraid of the anti seizure meds, but you start them slowly and as my Doctor fussed at me when I mentioned my reluctance to take them," Is aspirin ONLY for headaches? No, it has many uses!"
so, I am following Dr's orders and they have stopped.
I am sorry you are going thought this, but now that your friends are getting better... maybe your headaches will stop. You have been through a lot, and the thought of having to go through it again with your friends may have initiated them.

never had a doubt. I'm sure each of us when faced with this has disease has looked at what could happen and made decisions about the future. Always thought I would donate my organs so others could continue living, now my ashed go into building an artificial reef so the fishes have a place to live.
