You are in the right place.
We have compassion to share.
I have not gone through what you are going through, but I empathize. I can see how it can wear you out and get you depressed. Donrae up there has her own thread that she started and we rallied around her when she was in isolation, I think the best help any of us can offer is a kind word and a good sense of humor.
Our animals are good therapy, as you say. I think it is one thing we all have in common here.
Other than chickens that got you here, what other critters do you have?
We have dogs that are family. last night there was a big thunderstorm and there was some whimpering at the bedroom door. My husband said to go ahead and let her in, thinking it was the youngest dog. I got to the door and all three were cowering there. It was like when my son was little and needed to climb into bed with us during a loud storm. Except they only got the floor. The young dog went under the bed. I guess she though the bed was another line of protection between her and the monster up in the air.
I love my dogs. There is also a turtle. ehh- It's a turtle. It wants to take my fingers off, but it is our obligation so we are obliged.
Okay, I guess I like it. We have had from the egg, so it knows nothing else but us.
Tell me about your critters.
