So....talk about.....CANCER SUPPORT THREAD !!

That's a cute dog, dachshund are on my short list too, they are always doing goofy things on funniest videos, I worry about those backs, my dogs always play rough, always someone limping or tearing their ACL. What do they call that color, what's it's name, and I'm guessing male.

"Seven"....we had a Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix named Pepper he was 4 months old killed in Car accident one year ago today...heart broken we went out and bought Seven. He filled that puppy shape hole in my heart. Still miss Pepper....

Yeah that was a black day...my wife hit a patch of ice...then a tree. I felt so much pain that day. She took little Pepper everywhere. He was a one of a kind dog. I Name all my dogs after soda pop...I've had a Pepsi and a Cola...I currently have R.C.(cola)...Seven (up)....and of course (Dr) Pepper.

So this is Rough day. I'm at this minute texting back and forth with my friend Matt. He's in the hospital fighting for his life. Seems his cancer spread and now he has a infection and is septic. beyond that I don't know what else to say. I just hope he doesn't give up.

So sorry about your friend. Said a special prayer for him. Very glad he has you for a friend.

Onto all of you all that are considering dogs......PLEASE visit your local animal shelter before you shell out big bucks to puppy mill breeders or pet stores that buy from puppy mills. That's my plea. And our dog saga, DH has been upset because his bird dog also named "Pepper" died a couple months back. She was very old, but mostly a good dog. She ate and killed her fair share of MY chickens which made me

not like her so much, but she was an English Setter & she was a BIRD dog, so, it was in her nature & I just accepted it and blamed DH for bringing her home knowing we had chickens 1st. Anyway, he asked me the other day if I think it would be OK if he got another bird dog pup...............I said

NO! I am always the passive one, but this time I put my foot down. No way am I going thru that drama. If and when we decide to get a new dog, we are going to the shelter. The day Pepper got lose & the dog pound got her, DH went to pick her up & all of those dogs sitting in cages......it was very overwhelming.

That's terrible, he will be in my thoughts and hopes, I am so sorry, and I'm sorry about Pepper too, such an adorable boy.
