Hi everyone.
Oh my gosh.....thank you so much you guys for the well wishes, hugs, prayers and good thoughts! I know all your kind words helped me to get through this, it's so great to have all of your support. You have no idea how that has helped me before and after this ordeal. Then again, perhaps you do.
I'm so glad it's over! It still seams a little surreal to me though.
When I was in the pre op room I kept thinking "is this really happening?" Strange. Even when they were wheeling me in, it just didn't seem real. Then they wheeled me past the robot they said "here's your robot!" And I looked over at this hulking thing with it's "arms" covered in plastic waiting for me.
There was no going back now. The anesthesiologist was a really nice Dr. he kept reaching over me to my right arm adjusting things and he said "pardon my armpit, good thing I took a shower today or I'd put you out with my b.o."
That made me feel better, and than I was out. Three hours later I was in recovery. It seemed like it only took 5 minutes. (!)
It's so good to be home, and "home" here at BYC too. Thank you so much for your encouraging words and support. You guys are the best.
The Dr. said it looked favourable. But I'll know more after the pathology report on the 18th. I'm doing the old lady hobble right now, taking it slow!
