SO, not so bad with the chemo. Hopefully it will be this way each time, give or take. I'll just stick with my protocol: No booze, eat light several times a day. Take my B-12 and vitamin water, rest when tired, do stuff with caution and wash my hands a lot. Oh and no picking at my cuticles (nervous habit) don't get scratched or injured if I can help it, stay away from a lot of people ( no problem!) Wear face mask when tending to chicken poop and food dust particles.

Only one problem, I should eat more prunes. But that's the only thing bugging me. My scalp feels funny, so I guess that's a sign of things to come. Or not, I CAN be stubborn.

It's rainy here today, but we sorely needed it, so that a good thing too. Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I'll check in later.

Yes Orp, my body finally caught up to my mind. Geez, I hope that's a good thing!

Hi Coyote!

I like prunes, so that's OK. Poor Sara, though. I really feel for her. I hope and pray she gets that strength she needs!

If I could take a little bit of her suffering from her I would.

That feeling in my scalp is sorta like, you know when you have the flubug and your scalp feels tender and slightly itchy, like my hair hurts but not terrible? Just that. Not tight. Just different. Tenderish. Yeah well, I'll let you know when gobs come out. Every time I take a shower I always have hair come out, I have a lot of it, so it's no loss when that happens. I gotta yank it out of the drain every time.

We'll see................

just stopped by to check on you & the update... I will keep you & your family in my prayers. Glad to hear you're up and at 'em (even at less than 100%, but you'll work your way back up to it in time!). Listen to your body, but listen to your spirit more! God be with you & yours, and may you always feel His presence as His healing touch ministers to you.

Thank you crtrlover!

OMG I just came back inside - what the heck is going on?! I went to the kitchen to get some water and looked out my window and saw my gate wide open and no chickens in the yard! I panicked and ran out, there's just woods behind our house and our neighbor's fenced in pool to the right - I called and called them, and saw one chicken - ran back inside to get string cheese - called them again waving the cheese, they finally followed me in, except for one smart alec, then she finally came in. Do you think they're taking advantage of me? "Mom's been kinda tired lately, lets not bother her and go and check out the woods this time. She won't know."

I would use this

but my hair hurts. They're safe now, dang it anyhow.

They are a lot like kids, aren't they?

I will never forget the day I got out of the shower, and some little kid had cracked a dozen eggs all over the kitchen. Nap time was getting much, much too short.

My mom said that is how her scalp felt, like it had been pulled back for too long in a tight ponytail. It grew back with a vengeance, so do not despair!
(She went around bald so she could make people uncomfortable. She says they will let you have their spot in line when you are bald.
