So....talk about.....CANCER SUPPORT THREAD !!

Chances are the hair that grows back in will be different than what you have now. Both in color and texture. One of my friends told me "Before chemo, I had my father's hair. After chemo, I had my Mother's hair!". Glad to see that you are keeping your sense of humor!

mine came back the same color but curlyer! I definatley don't need a curly perm! I've got the chin hair too. Was told that it was common with people from my Scilian heritage. I did fall out during chemo! But I swear it came back even worse. All the summer that I was on the Taxatere I didn't have to shave my legs or pits. Still don't have to shave my pits, it's never grown back.

You may want to wear a stocking cap to bed. I was always chilly no matter what blankets I covered with until I put a hat on.

Yes, Coyote I have a knitted cap for bedtime. It's white with a pink stripe and a butterfly on it. I was looking for something a little more "me" but that's all they had, so that one is for bedtime.

When I took my shower this morning I was very gentle with my hair when I shampooed and conditioned it. I always leave a small amount of hair in the drain, but when I looked this morning.....

I couldn't see the drain. Wrapped my hair in a towel and got dressed, took the towel off, and gently combed my hair and out it came in gobs. I brought it downstairs to show DH - (you can say you're losing your hair, but showing the evidence sure packs a wollup) He was like "oh wow". So far it doesn't look like I'm losing any hair. I threw the gob of hair out the front door for the birds to use for nest material. Why throw it away? It was my "green" thing for the day.

So please describe who you are, and what is your style....maybe someone has the cap that you desire in the BYC world. And no! it is not me..I can't knit worth a darn, but I am pretty good at locating resourses.

Are you a little on the wild side? fall colors? Funky? give us a clue?

Absolutely,
I would be more than happy to make a head covering that you would like. I am sure I am not the only one.

You have been on my mind, just been busy outside and work. Glad you are still plugging along.

I can knit. I can crochet. I love that pattern for the Fizz chemo cap. I downloaded the pattern. All I need is Luna's size. She said purple. CM said green with deelybobs.

Sizes, ladies!!!!

Hmmmm size for a hat? I a couple from the kids department in Walmart. Hey the were cuter than the adult ones!! I guess that would be a medium.

My hair fell out the day before my 2nd treatment. It really bugged me just before it fell out. Didn't hurt really just felt like it was being pulled tight in a ponytail. We had went kayaking earlier in the day but I didn't really notice any falling out then. But when I got and took my shower, it started coming out in handfuls. I had the hubby shave the rest of it off later that evening. I felt much better when I got rid of it. Kind of like, one less thing I had to deal with.
