Don't send it down here!! We are already about to melt!! My poor garden! I think I killed the wheeping pussy willow I transplanted at the end of last week. It is soooooooooooooooo hot and even drier. We haven't had any thing that looks like rain for nearly a month. I watered the willow every day but it's just dried up and dropping leaves. Not sure if I want to transplant the plants I have waiting in the fridge (keeps them in a dormant state) anytime soon! OP-when you come down here be sure to pack plenty of shorts and t-shirts. The less clothes the better!!

I laughed when I read this. "so we could beat the "shore" traffic". For those of you not in the NJ or Philly area, you don't go to the beach in NJ. You go "down to the shore". You are surely pegged as an outsider is you say the beach!

I'm from South Jersey, so when I'm in Jersey, I go to the shore. But, out here in CA, I definitely go to the beach.

Yes, I'm pretty sure. Although, Philly Cheesesteak did seem like a hometown food. But, since we had to cross the Delaware to get there, yup, it was South Jersey. It was a whole hour driving north to get to Trenton, which is central.

Incidently, we have the same problem here in the SF Bay Area. The north thinks we're central, and the central coast thinks we're northern.

LOL I know the twang. Would go see family in Mass and would hear, "Where are you from?!!" It's even worse now after living down here for just about 20 years! "Where are you from?!" from people just moving down here from some place else, lol.


Good luck on your tests tomorrow. I go in 2 weeks to have my yearly CT to make sure the spot on my lung isn't getting any bigger. So far, in the last 2 years it hasn't gotten any bigger. Sure wish I would have quit smoking 30years sooner!!.

My blood test came back 'excellent'. Today was steroid day.

So far I'm handling it bit better this time. Either I'm getting used to this or it's the bunch of chocolate I just ate.

I hope the choc relapse doesn't haunt me tomorrow. Well, it was my own doing.....

I guess I'll find out soon enough. Nah chocolate is a good thing!

My nose has been running A LOT. So now I have tissues in my desk drawer and in my pocket and purse all the time. So, I thought I'd peek up my schnozz and Yup.........minimal nose hairs. I'm assuming this is part of the package? I have absolutely no shaving to do this summer! ...... You have to look at the bright side

I decided not to smooth shave my head. I was getting little straggler stubbs ( mostly black (?) and grey) on my "tomahawk" area. I would buzz it off but then my head felt very sensitive and I would be scratching my head constantly and I didn't like that. So I'm experimenting and letting those pathetic little hairs do their thing on my scalp and see how far I can stand it.

I'm going out with my scarf more than my wig nowadays, and I'm liking that. I'm bald mostly around the house unless I feel a little chill then I put my hippie scarf on.

Tomorrow is chemo #4. I'm drinking water all night and having my protein shake in the a.m. I'll bring along something light to munch on and lots more water. My book (Wesley The Owl - You guys have to read this!) My crossword book and my Stephen King book I've been trying to finish. I wanted to bring my quilt to work on, but I don't think that would be wise....All we would need is to have someone trip over that...........
