Coyote.......they need more tissue, therefore the core biopsy. Maybe that's a good sign, the other biopsy wasn't significant enough.
They are doing a good job digging into your cells, so IF there is something they can proceed to iliminate it so you can be free of that crap, whatever crap you might have going on.
You can always kill some time getting rid of some of that stash you have and get busy at the sewing machine!
Ginny, when the machines break down after drinking goadawful stuff and the thought of having to do it again - ugh! So glad they finally were able to do what they needed to do so you don't have to drink that stuff again!
DUH moments - know them all too well but can't attribute to chemo!
Everyone dealing with one aspect or another of treatments, tests, waiting....
It is a new season. Time for change, time to reflect, and enjoy our hard work. Luna, I hope all is well. Coyote, you are in my thoughts. Waiting is the worst.
My moon flowers have huge buds but no flowers yet. Let's hope the frost doesn't get here first. Other than that we, DH and I have been busier than one armed paper hangers. Now we have to put everyone's gardens to bed for the winter. That will be a chore all it's own. Not to mention all the sewing projects I have piling up on the sewing desk. I guess it keeps me out of trouble.
The colors of the trees are starting to be brilliant. I will try to get pics to post. Before I know it it will be sticks for six. NO leaves for 6 months. Yuck. OK trying not to be too depressing..........................

Happy Equinox to you as well. You can't tell it's fall down in these parts. Still 90+, I only get to work on Katies run up until about noon at the latest. I go back out after 5 or so and do what I can before it get dark.
I thought my moonflowers were blooming, but have realized they are my gourds which also bloom in the early evening and are pollenated by moths. The trees are starting to change, but I'm not sure if that is the rest of less light or lack of rain! We did get a nice thunderstorm last night. First time since the first week of August! Rained a little to hard to soak in a whole lot. The ground is still hard and cracked, but the grass greened up overnight.
I have lots of sewing projects I have to get on.
Thank you for your thoughts. They called today, biopsy is on Tuesday. Should know something by next Friday
Paul & I took a long weekend and went back up to Montauk. We stayed at a different place and saved 100.00 a night by renting a "cottage". I thought "oh how charming" clue #1 no pics on their site of the interior
clue #2 the price.
And to top it all off Paul injured his back by bending over wrong and his lower back was giving him the dickens, but we went anyway. So we get there and it is cute on the outside, they all are. BUT the office was strange when we checked in. (another clue) Stuff was everywhere and just thrown into corners and when we went back down the stairs to get to our car there was a ping pong table right there, like are we supposed to jump over that thing
OK, so we drive over to our cabin. And when we go inside - eh - now we know why they didn't post interior pics! You walked into a room with a double bed and a twin bed jammed up against the wall and the kitchen was a counter with a sink & gas stove that only partially worked. (no microwave! now come on) A huge refrigerator with the TV behind it so you had to sit on the double bed to watch it. A small table with chairs against the wall and if you stand just right you can see the ocean. There was a small bedroom behind the "kitchen" and then there was the bath.........well the toilet was ok - it worked. The shower was one of those fiberglass and aluminum stalls that you had to be careful not to lean against any walls, no drain cover (all I could think of was Stephen King's "IT" with the drain) And you had to be careful with the sink's hot water handle, otherwise you got a shower that way.
We laughed it off and had some fun except because there was no real furniture to sit down on properly to watch TV or just to sit (just those darn beds) Paul had a problem with pain in his back. We were there Fri night and Sat night he couldn't stand it and slept in the car (he couldn't lay down, but sitting up was ok) So we left today and lost $120 for Sunday night. Oh well, now we know.
We did get to see the places we missed last time, but because of his back we couldn't really walk too much anywhere.
*Sigh*
So Monday I start radiation. Everyday at 6:30 pm I hop over and get radiated. Oh and not just that - I also get a tampon like thing EACH AND EVERY VISIT - I think they need that there for a marker or something....... yup Monday thru Friday for 30 days.
On a lighter note I go in the hospital to get my port taken out this Wednesday.
And the little girl chicken I got traded in for my little roo is settling in nicely. Paul is sleeping in his chair and feeling better already.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEeew! Sounds like an episode out of Criminals Minds!! Glad ya'll got out alive!!
You're going to the hospital to get your port out? I had the first one taken out in my hospital room. (the infected one) The 2nd one out in the office. Isn't it interesting how each doctor does things differently.
You are going to do fine with radiation. You may glow in the dark when you are done, but you'll be fine!
After the chemo, I think that you will find that the next 30 days go by quickly!! Either that or you will be so tired from having to get up early every morning that you won't notice!!
Sending good thoughts your way!
(Sorry about the weekend from Hell!) Coyote Magic was right -- you were lucky to get out alive!!

Wow, I guess it could've been worse! What is that, a TV show? The only TV I watched at the cottage was Mayberry RFD. I don't know why, I think it was a comfort show to me. Plus I got a few laughs from it. Gosh darn that Barney Fife
Radiation itself was a breeze, (you were right Coyote) Of course when I got there it was pouring and stormy..........which made the transformer outside blow, which I didn't know at the time. So, I go in get undressed and get into my gown and go into the other waiting room. I felt kinda uncomfortable - there were 3 men in the waiting room all with their clothes on! Little ole me sitting there in a gown and nothing else..........what was that about? They were there for radiation too, what gives?
They prep me and I'm laying there waiting. I'm told NOT TO MOVE. 20 minutes later they come in and tell me nothing was happening because when the transformer blew the computers went down and they were trying to reboot the equipment. They apologized and said to please bear with them and be patient. I am patient. But it just added to my apprehension - not knowing what to expect and all. Then I had to pee I'm thinking I hope it works soon or what am I gonna do? A couple of minutes later it starts, I get zapped in 3 different areas then I'm done. See you tomorrow........yup.
