So....talk about.....CANCER SUPPORT THREAD !!

Deb there is all kinds of stuff they can give you. Steriods were one of the only things that kept me loosing my cookies for days on end. Medical Marijuana is not an option in NC. I also get Zofran at the time of my treatments. My meds aren't suppose to make me sick, but we all know I'm not like normal folks.

Compazine, Ativan, dexamethazone, and Marinol are the "usual" ones used. Marinol isn't legal everywhere.

I have question about this, though you may have no idea. My boss's sister had the worst breast cancer you can have, and during her chemo treatments she had a large cocktail once every three weeks. No matter what drugs they gave her, so was SOOOOO sick. Unbelievably sick.

What drugs did they give you to overcome that?

By the way, she is in remission, which is pretty much a miracle considering her diagnosis.

Sorry can't remember the name..i took one pill day of treatment and one a day next two day, which i had a chemo pump on those days. i know these pill cost 750.00 for 3 pill which my insurance paid...if no insurance they have other ways to help pay . that was 3 years ago..i will see if i can find out the name.

Oh please do not dig around, it was a general question for the next time I run into someone in treatment. Thank you!!!

Yes, they gave my father Steroids with his treatments and Benadryl... and also some meds to take home, like a Compazine....

Sounds like me. Wasn't until I used some "herbal" alternative that I could actually eat something. Thankfully, I only had to be on the stuff that made me heave for 4 treatments. The stuff I take now doesn't make me sick. But those pills we tried to take sure did. Sounds like you boss's sister had either HER2positve or Inflamatory Breast Cancer. I have HER2+

Our buddy Sara will tell you if it wasn't for the Medical MJ she wouldn't be here. Cancer in a way has saved Sara's life. She has such a positive outlook on life!!

The anti cancer effects have been documented since at least the 1970s. The prohibition of cannabis has been based on lies from the beginning. It is very corrupt.
