So....talk about.....CANCER SUPPORT THREAD !!

Hey! Where you been?!!

Yes, finished sizes of 12.5 or 6.5 squares or 6.5x12.5 rectangles, with a 1/4 edge around. Not that I can keep the 1/4 inch straight once I get my hands on it, lol.
The usually summer routine...too much farm work, too much regular work and too much goofing off so I am always behind on things :) I think a quilt block is something I need to add to my schedule ;) just so I can keep my sanity.

Quote: Cindi,
Do these need a backing? Do I just make a square up that's 6.5 x 6.5 and press the seams down? or do I need to then sew it and tack it down onto a piece of muslin? I was hoping my mother in law would be able to show me what to do, but that didn't pan out.
I am having a bear of a time digging trough this room I call an office. I think I will just go to the craft store and start over. What shades and colors?

If you are making a patterned quilt block, yes please send a backing with your name on it. That way my chemo brain won't stop me from knowing who made which block. All you have to do is square it up. No specific colors, it's all up to you.

After a week of frustration, I finally decided it was the machine and not me. My husband says that it looks as if something is worn in the bobbin works. He is cleaning up a yard sale find for me today, so I will have something done - I hope- soon.
If my lack of sewing tolerance has been a faulty machine all these years, I will be relieved.

Hello guys. I wanted to check in on you all and let everyone know that there is life after chemo. I am doing very well. Better than I expected to be. I have said this before and I will say it again "CHEMO SAVED MY LIFE." I am talking about the nasty eating disorder I had. Anyway I hope all is well and after I do alot of reading I should be caught up on all you guys.

Gin you have been in my prayers. Hope all is well.

BTW all my scans and bloodwork came out good. I am 2 months past the half way point of 5 years. I get to have my port out. YIPPIE
