So, temps went from 80s to 40s all of a sudden.

I've read a bunch of posts on temps for coops. We're in North Central Texas and weather swings are vicious on us, but I think the babies will be fine. But wanna be sure. It's dry out, we have sand right now and will be adding dry leaves as winter approaches. The hatched on March 1st and I raised them. There are 6 BRs and 3 RIRs, one is our boy.

They're good in these temps. Right? Pics of coop are posted.

So they are standard-sized chickens, about 7 months old?

Yes, with the coop and run in your photos, they should be fine with that amount of temperature swing.

I might worry if they were less than about 3 months old, or for certain breeds of bantams, but neither of those applies in your case.

Sweet! Thank you! I'm a worrier and these are our first flock. Puts my mind at ease. REALLY, THANK YOU. ☺️

Oh! Yes. Sorry...they are just over 7 mos. Everybody's laying and they are healthy and happy. But the eclipse, yesterday made half of them not lay. Then, today, one of my BRs sat on a wooden egg for a few hours and I didn't know if she was feeling broody or was egg bound or if that eclipse just confused her system.
