So, the ladies are 2 months old. Now what?

Ok, my 5 girls are now 9 weeks old. They are in a coop and at night, in a dog crate. I no longer use the heat lamp (I'm in Souther California). We put some roosts (?)
poles in. I'm not sure about nesting boxes becuase I read here they start to sleep and poop in them? Should I just keep the dog crate (w/shavings) in there for them at night? Till how long/age?

TIA for any advice. They are doing great otherwise and getting free range time in the garden (WHICH THEY LOVE!!) when we're home.

Seems your girls are ready and won't need the crate... I wouldn't rush to get nestboxes finished, you have a lots more time til they will be ready to lay. The roosting is more important, I'd let them get use to sleeping on the roost and then add the nests later ...
