I'm Sarah and I have wanted some chickens for a long while. You'd have thunk that during that wanting time, I'd have done some research or something to prepare myself but it didn't work out that way at all!!
Today at a Kid's Expo, they had a petting zoo and at the end of the day they were getting rid of the chicks to welcoming homes. My 4 year old went to investigate and the greedy little bugger got a whole handful of chicks..4! So now we are the proud owners of Peep, Quack, Speedy and Princess Chicky. I don't know how old they are, what kind of chickens they are or their sex.
I do know that I'll have to re-home them if they are boys because my city doesn't allow them. I have a friend with chickens that I can place them with, thank goodness! They are such sweet little creatures, I can't believe how attached I am already. What snugglers!
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.
