So we're going to try & make a formal dress *Latest Pics Post #101*

Yayyyyy sounds like you are almost paved! LOL!

2 bows & a waistband left to go. Pouring over that finishing sand & tamping it between the blocks

The hem was a chore and a half! Whew... no matter how I sewed it, you could see it... so instead I just sewed a few "spots" across the hem to hold it up... they are unnoticeable & random.. I don't know what the correct way would be to do that... but this works.

Should leave me enough time for the cape too!

The dress is ready, the crushed velvet was coming out of the dryer so that I could begin work on that when she came through the door and announced "Stop the rush on the dress!! They've cancelled it until January!"

Well.. it makes good sense.. we're expecting a foot of snow here... it just started falling.. heavy wet snow and we live in the mountains, and the hotel is high up on another mountain in the next county... it'll be awful and dangerous.

So... I guess I'll just put the clean cape aside and start on Christmas!!

My tree stands UNDECORATED and we are waaaaay behind! So... I'll post back when I get started again on the cape.

Sorry to disappoint everyone!

WELL now you have time to concentrate on the "Reason for the Season" Enjoy the Christmas Holiday and God has a reason for everything. Maybe you might find something really SWEET to go with this ensemble after the Christmas Rush in the stores!

Keep us posted!
