The crop surgery went very well and my sweet girl is back and pecking away. She had the surgery at 2pm, I picked her up at 4pm, she spent the night in a separate and warm sick bay. I fed her mash and warm oatmeal and she had no problems with it so by noon the next day I brought her out to the others. It was like nothing had happened. They didn't peck at her or anything. Fortunately the feathers covered the stitches... and they're dissolveable.

It's 3 days later and she's a happy girl... especially now that there are some clear spots between the snow.
