So, what is your job?

We have a wholesale production nursery. I grow hibiscus cuttings for other nurseries to finish off and sell to folks like you.

Mainly I sweat a lot. but I am not sure That's a job.
I was educated to be scientific illustrator, and enjoyed doing that and being in the scientific community... but got married and wanted to help my husband out,
so- 30 years later- sweat, blisters, sun burn, aching muscles, and poverty. Must be love.

BUT- I get to have chickens!

I'm a SAHM. (I don't say homemaker because I'm not so good at that part.) I'm pretty good at the mom thing, though. When I worked, I was a Hospital Unit Coordinator. It was fun and challenging until it wasn't.

My husband is a Sheriff's Deputy in the county where we live.

For the past three years I've worked as Front-of-House assistant manager for a performing arts venue. It's certainly different than anything I'd ever done before and can be exciting as you get to work around national and international entertainment acts. BUT - it's hard on the feet, it's late nights when you're working shows, and there's no set schedule so it really does a job on your internal clock.

For thirty years prior to that I worked in the insurance industry as an agent. Took several breaks with raising children and even worked from home a bit.

Trust me, the performing arts gig is much more fun!

I have been a stay at home mom for most of my adult life, then I went to college after my kids left for college. I graduated with my associates degree in liberal arts and want to return to school for my bachelors in English. My husband is in the IT field dealing with document imaging. Currently, I am at home working to get our new 30 acre farm up and running. So far we have 2 dogs, 24 chickens, 4 geese, and 2 ducks. Poultry is awesome!

I am an equipment reliability engineer at an iron mine in minnesota. I research, plan, and schedule the maintenance that keeps the big expense parts turning. I also conduct failure analysis when stupid happens.
