We are having a several bean soup that I threw together to start clearing out cupboards.
Should be interesting.

we had two roasted hens on a bed of diced celery, carrots and onions and a little bouquet of thyme tied up in there with some rich homemade stock and roasted to perfection last night. Had a bed of wild rice waiting

Should have taken pics as it looked just like Anne's on the Food Network.

Tonight it is just ribeyes with blue cheese on top, fried onions and mushrooms and a veggie.

HAHAHA! See my rant thread. It explains everything. He is such a DORK!

Chicken... um... suprise. I boiled 3-4 chicken legs and a couple of thighs about 1/2 hour then let them cool. Shredded them and de-boned them and put them back into the broth they'd made. Added a can of cream of mushroom soup and some egg noodles and a diced onion... and a bouillon cube (chicken flavored)... a little extra seasoned salt and some "italian spice" and cracked black pepper... dash of flour to thicken it a little more... several cups of water... some chicken rub seasoning stuff... and 1/2 bag of frozen corn. My son is in the other room eating some of it still. He says it tastes just like chicken and dumplings and smells like sausage gravy.

Tastes great to me! I spooned some over the dogs' dinner tonight and they're in there whining right now while it cools off for a few minutes.
