I'm at work - eating lunch and checking in on BYC.

I do agree with "our day doesn't end at 5" - I also know that a mom's day doesn't ever really start or end it is a full time 24/7 job.

I have always wished I could have stayed home. I recently realized that I could have - if we had made different (sometimes better) decisions when we were first married. We were young and dumb

Veterinarian whenever anything is sick, rain snow sleet or hail! Spent many nights snuggling up to a calf in a dog box keeping it warm. Wouldn't trade it for the world!!!!

Okay, I'm back from lunch. *burp*

I would have been on here sooner but our elevator got stuck between floors with our cleaning crew on board. They're all disabled adults and things got real weird real quick as one by one they weren't able to cope with being stuck. I was wondering when my previous life as a special ed teacher would be valuable.....and now I know.
 
At work? Always! I run a design business out of my home and I'm a Mom, so I'm always at work. I'm on the computer a lot waiting for clients to make revisions on various projects, so while I'm waiting, BYC keeps me entertained...it beats the depressing economic news.

It's raining really hard today so it's nice to be inside all cozy warm and dry. My dog is looking at me with those sad eyes...why aren't we going for a walk? The chickens are peeking in the window at me...can we come in?
 
I agree with so many. My job never ends. Work, being on call..Mom, Wife, sister to a new mom! I told my sister who has a 1 month old that I havent had a hot meal in 15 years!! Ah, well, I wouldnt change it for the world. And i have found so much excitement in doing this chicken thang. I dont care if i have to go sit in the dark with them by the time my alone time rolls around!!!
