Currently I'm calling it ChickKnox or DuckKnox since my husband built it so nothing can get in there.

Nothing here but us chickens! ha ha

DD names our duck coop Balut it is under the chicken coop





we have recently removed the crate & will be adding an attached brooder soon.

Nothing here but us chickens! ha ha

Well for now, but they are gonna have a few duck buddies. I started the ducklings out there during the day yesterday since it was warm out, but brought them back in at night it's too cold for them and I'm not ready to let them out yet. I have a baby monitor in my kitchen so I can hear the chicks in their coop in case anything does try bothering them from the outside. My husband is afraid I may go Annie Oakley on anything that comes near that coop, and he is probaby right.

When it's hunting season for bear here. My hubby keeps his gun in the sunroom. Other times we have a bb gun for those dam chipmunks and squirrels! We use the nite owl, I think it's called, for night guys. It blinks red so they think it's a bigger prey that would eat them. They are in chain linked fencing day/n and it gets locked at nite. But there's always something. My ducks will be going out soon. Their home is almost done! I'll miss them but they won't miss me.
