Well she has a belly full of food and water some hugs, snuggles and ahe can see her sisters and her favorite friends. When i left the barn she was making happy chicken noises. I pray this works. Her legs are bandaged just so she doesn't move them. She is so content just like this.
I thought of that as well.... So her and i snuck in the house.. Spare bedroom for the night. She was in her own area where nobody could get to her in the barn but i crawled in bed and had all those what if's.
What great news. I am so glad you were able to help Lil Red!Well after almost a month, several nights of worry, crying, several slings, cuddles, love, 15 phone calls to vets around my area just to find none that take care of chickens later..... I find a vet 2 hours away little red, myself and the boyfriend go for a road trip to see the doctor , little red was calm the entire way it's like she knew i was bringing her to get better. Well doc felt nothing broken BUT..... She felt her pelvis was out of place a little and that was making it so she couldn't walk or even balance so she was using her wing to try and hold herself up. So doc did some magic with her hands and gave little red a steroid shot to reduce inflammation and help with the pain so she could heal. Today little red is almost at full recovery. Walking on both feet instead of 1 foot and one knee.. Still a bit of a weeble wobble but i think within the next week or 2 she should be ready to mingle a few hours a day with my supervision! I knew a vet would help her! I bet next time i wont be doubted
