Soap Makers Help!

I have made soap with coffee. No matter how strong I make it I have never had the coffee aroma carry through. I have read where people say they made a pot of coffee and used it and their soaps smell of coffee. NEVER has it worked for me. I have to use a coffee fragrance oil to get a coffee scent. I use the grounds at trace and it makes a nice foot scrub bar.

I've been wanting to make a coffee soap too.

I did my first rebatch today. I think it turned out pretty good. I took plain soao and rebatched it into my breakfast bar. I'm really happy with the way it has turned out.

And can I say Fed Ex sucks. They are lost once again and haven't de;ievered my package from Brambleberry.

I have some anhydrous caffeine to add to coffee soaps. It absorbs transdermally, so you can actually get a small "buzz" from your morning shower!

I have made coffee and cocoa soap with coffee grounds…….

I used a Pringles can for the mold…it went crazy and had a little volcano eruption thing going, thank goodness I only filled part way.

After peeling away the can, it looked and smelled like a giant brownie. The smell has settled down and the sliced soap looks cool, my daughters favorite foot soap!

Good luck with the coffee soap I used triple strength coffee.

Hey guys -

Which of the fragrance sites do you recommend for a vanilla scent? Which one have you really liked the best?

I'm getting requests for vanilla so I need to add that to my list of things to make. Yes, I realize that most of them discolor to brown.

They're not my cup of tea, but the "warm vanilla sugar" and "pink sugar" fragrances are crazy popular. Men love vanilla fragrances, too, especially combined with almond or ginger.

SweetCakes and The Scent Works have superior vanillas, IMO.

Vanilla, pumpkin and apple pie scents trigger something in men. Science has proven several times they are drawn to it. Umm, yeah, we knew that - the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, steak LOL

Here is one of the soaps I just made a couple days ago.

What do you think? My DH and kids think its really cool. It was a pain in the butt to get out of the mold though. DH thinks that one will see good at the FM and that I should make more.
